



History of Åstol
In the 1980s, some families on the island started a smokehouse in the building. In 1994, Björn and Lisbeth Edlund took over and supplemented the business with show nights and a restaurant. Their daughter Pia and her husband Leif later took over, and in 2006 the Edlunds bought the property. In 2018, the property was bought by Niclas and Anna-Karin Hammarstrand.

In Feskekörka you will find three restaurants, an oyster bar and an outdoor terrace – all with their own menu, their own character and one thing in common: ingredients from the sea. Here you will be met with Bohuslän warmth, Nordic street food, smoked delicacies, tapas and classic fish dishes – served in one of Gothenburg's most iconic environments.
The food is ordered directly from each operator – no shared menu, no intermediaries. You choose where you want to sit: upstairs with a view of the hall, at the bar near the fish counter or outdoors with the canal a stone's throw away.
Feskekörkan's restaurants attract both Gothenburgers and visitors looking for something genuine – whether it's freshly caught oysters, a lunch with a canal view or a full evening among fish, people and flavours.
