With us you will be met by a real fishmonger – with his fingers in the salt and his heart in the sea. Here you will find the classic fish from the North Sea and the Barents Sea side by side: cod, haddock, saithe, mackerel, herring and everything in between. For those who want to keep it simple, there is also a selection of ready-made food to take home – all prepared with love for the ingredients and respect for tradition.

The story of Ebbe Hagard

Ebbe Hagard was a priest in Gothenburg and an important figure in society. In 1970, he became the first priest to marry a couple in Feskekôrka, which was a historic event. He was also one of the founders of Gothenburg City Mission and worked hard to help people in vulnerable situations. Through his social commitment and warmth, he left a strong mark on the city's history.

A proper fishmonger, just as it should be. Here you will find the classics from the North Sea and the Barents Sea – cod, haddock, saithe, halibut and herring – delivered daily and handled with knowledge. For those who want to cook themselves, or take ready-made fish stew, stir-fries, soups and other delicious food home.

Fish sales in Gothenburg did not start in a building, but on a raft. Until the end of the 19th century, fishermen were moored outside Gustav Adolfs Torg, where they sold their catch directly from the boat. As trade grew, the business was moved to the Rosenlund Canal – the raft was popularly called the flot.

That's why we're standing here today. Because the city grew around fishing – and because there's still something sincere about a good fish counter.
